Uncle Wolfie’s Breakfast Tavern is a wonderful hidden gem located in Milwaukee’s Brewer’s Hill neighborhood.
Treat yourself to a delicious brunch and stay for drinks within this renovated, reimagined historic tied house. 36o was contracted to work closely with the owners to Design/Build the eclectic interior with custom banquette seating, tables, and prominent bar. The spatial layout was planned to honor the historic nature of the building. The footprint of the newly built bar speaks to the original plan of the tied house donning a white quartz top, (14) stationary stools, penny tile rug and overhead canopy. Hanging from the canopy, is a custom steel glassware/display rack flanked with gorgeous semi flush lights.
It was our goal to breathe new life into the aged space with thoughtfully selected materials, finishes and lighting; while also repurposing existing vintage materials such as tin paneling, refinished floors and Cream City brick. To top it off, the decor throughout is provided by creative and talented local female makers/artists in the Milwaukee area, including the fabric, wallpaper and coffee mugs to name a few.
